About "Drop In and RPG"
Drop In and RPG is a program offering by the non-profit 501(c)3 RPG Research. Our founder began role-playing gaming in the mid 1970s, began researching the effects of RPGs in 1983, running programs at educational settings in 1985, and at therapeutic settings in 2004.
We have volunteers around the world, from all walks of life, helping to run these programs.
If you are interested in helping, please help spread the word, and consider donating or volunteering today!
Game Systems/Settings
- No Thank You Evil - all ages 5 years old on up.
- D&D 5th Edition - typically 8/9 years old on up.
- Adventures in Middle-earth - typically 10 years old on up. Either Eves
of Mirkwood adventure or Darkening of Mirkwood campaign. - Star Wars RPG - typically 10 years old on up.
- The One Ring RPG - typically 12 years old on up.
- In the near future we are hoping to add a super hero RPG, a modern
police procedural/mystery RPG, maybe a Western RPG, and maybe Doctor Who RPG.
Seating is basically first-come, first-served, though some groups are
recurring regular participants who may sometimes have reserved a spot
as long as they show up on time.
Seating priority is for people under 18 years of age, so if we have
full tables, and a youth wants to join, we expect adults to yield their
seat for the benefit of the youth.
Depending on our GM availability we offer between 1 to 6 tables. This
is determined by a combination of which game masters can attend that
day, how many players are attending, and by what system/setting the
players are hoping to play.
